Many of our systems have the option to add a type of sensor, timer, or pressure switch to the control box. These sensor inputs help you control the flow of water to prevent overfilling your stock tanks and pressure tanks. This article goes over some of the sensors that RPS sells.
RPS Metal Probe Sensor- RPS 200-800/400V/800V/N
These sensors come standard with our 3 inch pump lines, the RPS 200-800. These sensors are used for indicating a full water tank or a low well. These sensors only wire into the RPS 100v controller.
RPS Float Switch- Pro Systems/RPS 200-800/400V/800V/N
This tank float switch comes standard with all Pro systems. It is used to indicate the tank is full or empty depending on the wiring. It can also be used with our 3 inch pumps and the RPS 100v controller.
Reverse Action Pressure Switch- Pro Systems/RPS 200-800/400V/800V/N
The reverse action pressure switch, or RAPS, does not come standard with any of our pump kits. This switch is used for turning the system on and off based on water pressure rather than water level. Compatible with all Pro systems and RPS 100v controller. Usually the RAPS is used in conjunction with a check valve and mechanical float valve.
Basic Timer- RPS 200-800/400V/800V/N
The basic timer does not come standard with any of our pump kits. This timer is able to turn on and off once a day, same time everyday. Usable with our RPS 100v controller.
Pro Timer - Pro Systems/RPS 200-800/400V/800V/N
The Pro timer does not come standard with any of our pump kits. This timer is able to be programmed for different times and different days. Compatible with all Pro systems and the RPS
