There are several brands and styles of line conditioners. They are recommended with longer runs of wire, especially RPS Pro Series Deep pumps.
A line reactor (also referred to as a "choke" or “line conditioner”) consists of wire coils that form a magnetic field as current flows through them. This magnetic field limits the rate of rise of the current, thus reducing harmonics and protecting the drive from power system surges and transients. It wires at the well head, between the pump’s three phase motor and the RPS Pro Controller in a dry protected environment.
